OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Democratic Party congratulates last night’s Democratic Primary nominee winners. When Democrats work together, we win together.
“This year is special. Oklahoma voters are paying attention, and they are ready for change,” states ODP Chair, Anna Langthorn.
It’s not only Democrats that are ready for change. According to polling, 65% percent of voters are also tired of the Republican-controlled legislature and want lawmakers in seats who are committed to addressing issues that directly impact working Oklahomans like our budget crisis, public education and supporting our teachers.
Anna goes on to say, “Voters are fed up with the failed GOP leadership demonstrated by the high voter turnout, the record number of Democratic candidate filings in April and the loss of many Republican incumbent races in last night’s primary.”
Democrats are committed to working hard and will be out in force meeting voters in their districts leading up to the November 6th election. We have momentum, and we will continue to energize voters to turn out on election day.
