David Boren Endorses Rob Wallace for Congress

Says Wallace has the moral courage and integrity needed in Congress

Muskogee, OK – Former Oklahoma Governor and U.S. Senator David Boren today endorsed Democrat Rob Wallace in the second district race for the U.S. House of Representatives. Boren served as Governor of Oklahoma from 1975 until 1979 and U.S. Senator from 1979 until 1994.

Boren said, “I have known Rob Wallace and his fine family for several years. I have also closely observed his record in public office. He has a strong and proven background in prosecution and law enforcement. He has demonstrated a sincere desire to serve others and the moral courage and personal integrity needed by a member of Congress. With these qualities and his deep ties to Oklahoma, I am personally convinced that he would make an outstanding representative for the people of eastern Oklahoma in the Congress.”

Rob Wallace was honored to receive the endorsement of such a well-respected figure in Oklahoma. Wallace said, “Boren’s endorsement is another testament to the coalition of support my campaign is building. I am honored to receive his endorsement and support in my bid for Congress. Boren’s support means a lot to me and my family. I am sure it will mean a lot to the voters of the 2nd District too.”

Boren emphasized that he was speaking as a private citizen and not on behalf of any institution.
