Wallace Backed by 30 Current and Former Legislators

Because working men and women need a voice in Congress

Muskogee, OK – Today, thirty current and former Oklahoma legislators joined Governor Brad Henry in endorsing Rob Wallace as their choice for the 2nd Congressional District. The list of endorsers ranges from current and former legislators in the district to leaders in other parts of the state who understand Oklahoma needs a voice for working men and women in Congress. The list is a diverse group who all agree Wallace is the best leader to provide that strong voice for working men and women.

Senate Democratic Leader Sean Burrage cited Rob Wallace’s deep understanding of the district and his passion to help make the 2nd District a better place for working families as reasons for his endorsement. “Rob Wallace is the best prepared candidate to serve us in Congress. Wallace understands the working men and women of our district, and his heart is in the right place. I know he’ll be a Congressman for the people, not a party or a special interest. He’ll always put people before politics so we can get our economy back on track,” said Burrage.

“To have the respect and support of so many leaders like Senator Sean Burrage and the other leaders means so much to me. It is truly humbling. I know we share a vision to make our state and our country a better place by creating good paying jobs right here in eastern Oklahoma,” stated Rob Wallace.

Former Senator Ben Robinson added with his endorsement, “Rob Wallace is the man we need in Congress to stand up to the special interests that are costing us jobs here in eastern Oklahoma. He is the most prepared candidate to get the job done.”

Wallace’s campaign continues to rack up endorsements from current and former elected officials as well as community leaders. He has already been endorsed by Former Gov. Brad Henry, Former Gov. David Walters, Former Attorney General Drew Edmondson, and earlier this week he received the endorsement of Julie Carson.

Rob Wallace said, “This campaign is about putting a coalition together that believes in sending some Oklahoma common sense to Washington so we can get our economy back on track. It’s time we had a voice for working men and women in Congress. It’s time we stand up to the special interests and make sure the American economy works the middle class again.”
