Representative Inman was first elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in November 2006 and will begin his fifth term November 2014. Representative Inman was born and raised in Del City, OK. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated in 2001 Summa Cum Laude and received a B.A. in political science with a minor in Spanish. He went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, School of Law, receiving his juris doctor in 2004. Upon graduating from law school, Representative Inman practiced law with a firm in downtown Oklahoma City.

State House District 94 became vacant in the spring of 2006 and Scott decided to put his law practice on hold and run for office. Upon his election, Representative Inman became the first graduate of Del City High School to ever serve the city of Del City at the State Capitol. As of May 2009, Representative Inman has been elected Leader of the House Democratic Caucus, becoming the youngest person to ever lead a caucus in Oklahoma state history. Representative Inman married his high school sweetheart, Dessa, and the couple has two daughters, Ella Grace and Sophia Claire.

He has received numerous awards for his contributions to the community and for his legislative work, including induction into the Del City High School Alumni Hall of Fame, the OBA Friends of Justice Award, the George Nigh Award for Young Democratic Leadership, OPEA’s Legislator of the Year, and the Representative Opio Toure Statesman Award. Representative Inman has also been named a Rising Political Star on NBC News by Chuck Todd, host of Meet the Press.
