Dollens Releases Statement after Ida’s Law Passes

OKLAHOMA CITY – State Rep. Mickey Dollens (D-OKC) released the following statement after Ida’s Law (House Bill 3345) passed off the House Floor with a vote of 92 to 4.

“The passage of Ida’s Law on the House Floor today represents hours of tireless work from tribal members across the state fighting for this needed legislation,” Rep. Mickey Dollens said. “Advocates like First Lady of the Cherokee Nation January Hoskin were instrumental in getting the House to act on this bill, which will finally turn the state’s attention to the epidemic of missing and murdered indigenous people. I appreciate the opportunity to work with these champions of justice and look forward to continuing to work with them in any way I can.”
