[Oklahoma City, OK, November 9, 2015] Last week Mark Hammons, chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party, called for an independent investigation into the actions of Governor Fallin and her staff and of Attorney General Scott Pruitt as to their involvement and interference into the investigation of Tulsa surgeon, Dr. Steven Anagnost. Reports from The Frontier and the Dallas Morning News indicate that Governor Fallin may have intervened in said investigation at the request of former Texas Governor Rick Perry who received campaign contributions from the doctor.

The Oklahoma Democratic Party has today filed Open Records Requests to the offices of Governor Fallin and Attorney General Scott Pruitt for all records and correspondence pertaining to the Oklahoma Medical Board of Licensure and Supervision’s investigation of Dr. Steven Anagnost.

The Oklahoma Democratic Party will hold a press conference to discuss these requests as well as suggested amendments to the Oklahoma Ethics Rules on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 9:30 AM in the Press Room at the Oklahoma State Capitol.
