2024 DELEGATE SELECTION PLAN
Over the past year, the DNC has developed the foundational materials that will govern how delegates are elected for the 2024 presidential nominating process. County Parties, the Affirmative Action Committee, and Federations play a major role in this process. We look forward to working with you as we create our state’s Delegate Selection Plan, which will outline how the delegate selection process will work in conformity with the National Party’s rules.
2024 Delegate Selection Documents and Process
In an exercise of transparency, the progress of this process will be documented on the Oklahoma Democratic Party website.
Should you have any questions regarding the process, please contact either the leadership of your congressional district or the leadership of any of the recognized federations, as they will be attending monthly meetings and receiving active updates.
Included on the ODP website, you will find the following documents:
- 2024 Delegate Selection Rules – The Rules governing our Party’s presidential nominating process;
- Call for the 2024 Democratic National Convention – The Call includes information about the allocation of delegates, alternates, Standing Committee members, and pages, as well as the temporary procedural rules of the Convention (please note that the allocation of automatic delegates will be updated in January 2023);
- Regulations of the Rules and Bylaws Committee for the 2024 Democratic National Convention – The Regulations provide guidance to the RBC and State Parties about the Rules, the Call, and other matters pertaining to the delegate selection process;
- Model Delegate Selection Plan – The Model Plan is a template for State Parties to use to prepare their individualized plan that includes all of the information required by our Rules (please note that in early 2023, the DNC will support State Parties in determining their diversity goals as per Rule 6.A.4); and
- Calendar of Due Dates
