Democrats Flip Another Red Seat

OKLAHOMA CITY – Last night’s House District 46 blow out victory demonstrates that Oklahomans are ready for change after years of Republican failed leadership.

“I think it’s indicative of the fact that Oklahomans are waking up and realizing that Republican leadership has failed us,” states ODP Chair, Anna Langthorn.

Representative-elect Rosecrant’s win is the third special election to flip a Republican seat.
Anna goes on to say, “Democrats are winning because our candidates are committed to working hard and getting to know the voters of their districts. We have momentum, and this is a great sign for our remaining special elections and into 2018.”

The Oklahoma Democratic Party will be focussing on the remaining three special elections on November 14, Allison Ikley SD37, Steven Vincent SD45, and Chris VanLandingham HD76. Senator Bryce Marlatt’s resignation leaves another open legislative seat that Oklahoma Democrats will continue to watch.
