Thank you for your commitment to Oklahoma Democrats!  As your newly elected State Chair, I am proud to join you in carrying the banner for our beloved Party and continuing our fight to build a better Oklahoma.  As I have said time and again, we must get back to the grassroots to win in 2008!

For too long many Democrats have spent their time fighting one another instead of putting aside petty differences to do the work that is needed to elect Democrats.  First and foremost, we must remember that we are a family that is over a million strong and together we can win every election in Oklahoma.  All families have their disagreements, but only by joining together will the men, women and children of Oklahoma have a chance at a better life with good-paying jobs, access to quality healthcare, and a strong educational system.

My plan is simple:

• We must identify quality candidates for all races.
• We must provide resources to candidates to help them be successful.
• We must activate county and young Democrat organizations statewide.
• We must raise funds to pay off our remaining debt.
• We must begin an ad campaign detailing what it means to be a Democrat.
• We must hold regular press conferences to inform voters.
• We must keep the doors of our headquarters open to all Democrats to provide the resources necessary to organize and activate voters.

As a UNITED DEMOCRATIC PARTY, we can make all of this happen, but it will take each of us working together by volunteering our time, utilizing our resources, and donating what we can afford to build our party.

Together we can we position ourselves for victory in 2008!

Although I did not take a paid position as your Chair, I am putting in full-time hours at the headquarters and criss-crossing the state to activate the grassroots of our Party.  We are proud to also have the support of the Democratic National Committee in supplying our three highly professional staffers.
