ODP Chairman: Representative Randy Terrill's Website Is Deceitful

Lisa Pryor, ODP Chairman, said today that Representative Randy Terrill (R-Moore) has lost touch with reality by taking credit on his website for "paving the way for the National Weather Center to be constructed in Norman, OK."

"That statement is a bald-faced lie," Pryor said. "Terrill was not even in the state legislature when the enabling legislation for the Weather Center, House Bill 2536, was passed during the 2002 legislative session."

Terrill was not elected to the House until 2004. Pryor said the principal authors of the bill were Senator Cal Hobson (D-Lexington) and Representative Bill Nations (D-Norman).

"If Terrill would be so reckless about taking credit for the construction of the internationally acclaimed Weather Center, his constituents should disregard anything this publicity hound might have to say," Pryor said. "It appears Randy Terrill learned his code of ethics from Republican hacks in DC, like disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, indicted former Congressmen Tom DeLay and recently resigned child predator Republican Congressman Mark Foley."

Pryor said Democratic nominee Troy Green would bring a lifetime of service, honesty and work ethic to the job of State Representative.

"It will be a sharp and welcome contrast from the current Pinocchio holding that seat - Randy Terrill," Pryor said.
