5th Congressional District Democratic Party Appoints New Officers to District and County

We are thrilled to announce that after accepting our invitation to join the CD5 Executive Committee, Brondalyn Coleman’s appointment was unanimously approved by the Oklahoma Democratic Party Central Committee.

After an extensive application process, we are pleased to announce that we have selected Mark Faulk to be the Oklahoma County Democratic Party Chair. We reviewed all the applications we received and selected a seasoned forward thinking Democrat.

Mark Faulk was the ODP Activist in 2017 and he has been very busy since, organizing to save schools slated for closure, managing the petition campaign for an OKC income tax for a teacher pay raise, he is a plaintiff in an ACLU lawsuit against the panhandling ordinance; among many others. Mark has supported numerous candidates through his radio show, Red State Revolt and campaigned directly for Bernie Sanders, Marilyn Rainwater, Collin Walke, Jacob Rosecrants, Connie Johnson, and others. He has been a delegate to the past two ODP State Conventions. Mark has also organized and/or spoke at events about police violence, indigenous rights, fracking, public education, charter schools, and other timely issues. He has been interviewed for a national documentary about water rights and fracking; and is working to complete a documentary about justice reform and prisons in Oklahoma entitled “Voices in a Jailhouse.”

Please join Wyatt and me in welcoming Brondalyn and Mark to their new positions! We are looking forward to a great year and continuing the Blue Wave in Oklahoma.
